Belgium's Proximus and France's Thales Group have secured a significant contract with NATO to modernize its IT infrastructure. The NATO Communications and Information Agency has selected these companies to manage and operate its core network through the end of 2029. While the financial terms were not disclosed, Belgian media suggest the deal could exceed 100 million euros (approximately 113.9 million USD).
Thales will provide secure cloud infrastructure, while Proximus will upgrade Wi-Fi networks at NATO sites in The Hague, Netherlands, and Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium, and supply 5,000 laptops.
