- P2P Group (PPBGF, Financial) expands biometric detection range by 166%, from 3m to 8m using standard Wi-Fi.
- New capabilities enhance SafeWave and StealthWave systems for border security, defense, and aged care.
- Commercial deployment plans are underway, with IP protection proceedings in progress.
P2P Group (PPBGF) has achieved a significant enhancement in its wireless sensing technology, increasing the biometric detection range from 3 meters to 8 meters, a substantial 166% improvement. Utilizing standard Wi-Fi, this advancement allows for the detection of heart rate and breathing at greater distances, reinforcing the capabilities of their SafeWave and StealthWave systems.
This technological breakthrough opens up new market opportunities, particularly in the sectors of border control, national defense, and aged care. The enhanced range enables the detection of hidden individuals and weapons in vehicles and sealed environments, operable via human or drone platforms. Furthermore, the system allows for unobtrusive room monitoring in healthcare settings without the need for cameras or wearable devices, thereby ensuring privacy.
CEO Ed Clarke highlighted that achieving this extended range has been accomplished without increasing the system's complexity, underscoring the innovation's robust design. P2P Group is moving forward with securing intellectual property rights and preparing for commercial deployment, although specific timelines for rollout have not yet been disclosed.
