LevelBlue, a global leader in cloud-based, AI-driven managed security services, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Aon’s Cybersecurity and Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation consulting groups. This acquisition includes renowned cybersecurity firms Stroz Friedberg and Elysium Digital, expanding LevelBlue’s capabilities in cyber risk and incident response. Although financial terms were not disclosed, the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.

With this strategic move, LevelBlue gains a globally recognized consulting platform of approximately 300 technology professionals with strong ties to Fortune 500 companies and a majority of Top 20 law firms in the UK. This integration complements LevelBlue’s existing services, establishing it as a leading independent Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) globally.

Robert McCullen, Chairman and CEO of LevelBlue, emphasized the importance of this acquisition, stating, "By combining LevelBlue’s exceptional cloud-based, AI-driven platform with Stroz Friedberg’s proactive consulting and forensic capabilities, we’re creating the industry’s most comprehensive cybersecurity services platform."

Aon (AON, Financial), while selling its consulting groups, will continue to focus on delivering cyber brokerage services through its Cyber Solutions group, CyQu platform, and Cyber Risk Analyzer. David Yaches, CEO of Cyber Solutions Security Consulting at Aon, expressed enthusiasm about the alignment in mission and values with LevelBlue.

This transaction will also establish a strategic relationship between Aon and LevelBlue to collaboratively offer their services, reinforcing their capabilities in cybersecurity risk management.

The acquisition is supported by Santander as financial advisor to LevelBlue and Kirkland & Ellis LLP as legal advisor. Aon is advised by Lazard and Latham & Watkins LLP.
