Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has emphasized a pivotal moment for quantum computing, predicting significant advancements in the coming years that could help solve global challenges. Speaking at the VivaTech 2025 conference in Paris, Huang noted that quantum computing, under development by tech companies for decades, is set to rapidly become more robust, high-performing, and resilient.
Huang's remarks positively impacted the stock prices of companies involved in quantum technology. In pre-market trading, D-Wave Quantum saw a 2% increase, IonQ Inc. (IONQ, Financial) rose by 3.6%, Rigetti Computing Inc. (RGTI) surged 4.5%, and Quantum Computing Inc. (QUBT) jumped 8.4%.
Nvidia's chips are set to support quantum computing, with the company's entire quantum algorithm stack available and accelerated on its Grace Blackwell 200 chip. Quantum computers are expected to significantly enhance the speed of large language models and create more powerful artificial intelligence.
