SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) has announced an expansion of its partnership with Landis+Gyr (SIX: LAND) to supply 30 million digital certificates for smart meters in the Asia Pacific region. This significant deployment is set to commence in summer 2025, highlighting SEALSQ's capabilities in delivering large-scale, secure IoT solutions.
The digital certificates, which are FIPS-certified, will authenticate devices, secure communications, and protect smart meter networks from evolving cyber threats. This collaboration builds on SEALSQ's existing involvement with Landis+Gyr, which includes providing security solutions for over one million gas meters annually in the UK.
Through their INeS PKI solution, SEALSQ is set to offer comprehensive compliance and security for smart metering strategies, aiding utilities in an increasingly connected energy framework. This move positions SEALSQ and Landis+Gyr to capitalize on the accelerated adoption of smart meters across Asia Pacific markets.
