Diodes Incorporated (DIOD), a leading semiconductor manufacturer, has announced the industry’s first ReDriver capable of supporting PCI Express (PCIe) 6.0 protocol speeds of up to 64 GT/s. The new product, PI3EQX64904, is designed to be both low-power and high-performance, featuring four differential channels and PAM4 linear technology.
Functioning across PCIe 6.0, 5.0, 4.0, and 3.0 protocols, the PI3EQX64904 ReDriver aims to enhance signal quality in various applications. Target sectors include AI data centers, 5G networking, CPU-to-network connections, and high-performance computing (HPC) clusters. By employing sophisticated equalization techniques, the device corrects channel losses and maintains signal integrity, resulting in low bit error rates and enhanced reliability.
Operating in an industrial temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, the ReDriver requires a supply voltage of 3.3V ±0.3V and comes in a compact 31-contact W-LGA-31L (6.1mm x 2.7mm) package. Designed to meet Modern Standby mode requirements, the device consumes less than 5mW of power during PCIe L.1.2 deep standby mode.
This innovative product will be showcased at the PCI-SIG® Developers Conference at booth #11. Each ReDriver is priced at $5.00 for purchase in quantities of 3,000.
