- Hitachi Vantara launches EverFlex AI Data Hub as a Service to streamline AI data integration.
- Addresses the challenge of AI data preparation, reducing $100 billion annual losses and 80% project failure rate.
- Offers a unified platform integrating with on-premises, private, hybrid, and public cloud environments.
Hitachi Vantara, a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. (HTHIY, Financial), has introduced the EverFlex AI Data Hub as a Service, a fully managed data lakehouse solution aimed at enhancing AI data preparation and integration. The service is based on the Virtual Storage Platform One (VSP One) and supported by Cisco's hybrid cloud infrastructure. It addresses the critical AI adoption challenges, as 98% of organizations use multiple storage platforms and 57% utilize all four types: on-premises, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and public cloud.
The new offering aims to reduce the $100 billion annual losses attributed to difficulties in AI data preparation and to counter the 80% failure rate of AI and data projects. It does this by providing real-time connectivity, federated analytics, and improved data governance. Clients benefit from a pay-as-you-need infrastructure model that enhances cost efficiency through a unified platform for AI, BI, and data operations.
The EverFlex AI Data Hub integrates VSP 360 for unified data management, Hitachi iQ for comprehensive AI infrastructure, and Zetaris for AI data integration. This configuration supports the seamless management of diverse data types across various storage platforms including on-premises, private, hybrid, and public clouds, facilitating real-time data access and enhanced business outcomes.
This innovation offers a robust solution to the growing complexity and costs associated with distributed data landscapes, enabling organizations to accelerate AI innovation and experimentation while streamlining workflow.
