01 Communique Laboratory Inc. (OONEF) has announced a strategic partnership with Hitachi Solutions Create, Ltd. to co-develop a Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) version of HSC's DoMobile zero-trust remote access solution. This collaboration targets the Japanese market and is part of a strategy to address the growing 'Harvest Now, Decrypt Later' (HNDL) cybersecurity threats amplified by advancements in quantum computing.
Under the terms of the agreement, effective from June 10, 2025, 01 Communique will benefit from a one-time development fee as well as ongoing royalties tied to the revenue generated by the PQC-enabled DoMobile solution. This partnership not only strengthens 01 Communique's market presence in Japan but also demonstrates a clear timeline for product deployment, with a planned launch by fall 2025.
The collaboration builds on the existing relationship between the two companies and aims to bolster cybersecurity measures for enterprises as the world transitions into the quantum computing era. "Our longstanding relationship with HSC has always been a cornerstone of innovation," noted Andrew Cheung, President and CEO of 01 Communique, emphasizing the joint effort to create a quantum-safe remote access system.
While specific financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the development signifies a significant step forward in preparing cybersecurity solutions for future quantum threats. This comes as part of 01 Communique’s ongoing efforts through its IronCAP™ product line, which focuses on securing communications against potentially disruptive quantum computing capabilities.
