Zentek (ZTEK, Financial) has unveiled promising results from independent testing of its ZenGUARD Enhanced Air Filters. Conducted by LMS Technologies, a certified lab specializing in filtration systems, the tests compared the viral filtration efficiency of these advanced filters against standard ones. ZenGUARD filters demonstrated an impressive 42% average removal efficiency of the MS2 bacteriophage, surpassing the untreated filters' 16% efficiency.
The findings are consistent with previous tests involving bacteriophage Phi6, a common stand-in for viruses like SARS-CoV-2. These outcomes bolster the case for ZenGUARD's unique capability of simultaneously meeting ASHRAE 241 standards for controlling infectious aerosols without increasing pressure drop, energy use, or carbon emissions. The filters also integrate seamlessly with existing HVAC systems, extending their lifespan and minimizing filter change frequency, which can help cut labor and waste disposal costs.
