NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) CEO Jensen Huang has expressed concerns about the potential consequences if the United States continues to ease restrictions on artificial intelligence semiconductor sales to China. He warned that Huawei could leverage its position to bolster China's efforts. Amid these tensions, China is actively diverting its focus from U.S. semiconductors towards domestic companies to build its own AI chip ecosystem.

U.S. Commerce Secretary Raimondo acknowledged China's competitive stance in the AI and semiconductor sectors. However, he emphasized that the U.S. remains firm on limiting China's access to top-notch American-made semiconductors. This move is part of a broader strategy to ensure that U.S. advancements in the semiconductor field are not compromised.
