Albertsons Media Collective, the retail media division of Albertsons Companies, Inc. (ACI), has announced the launch of its in-store digital display network. Unveiled during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France, this initiative is aimed at revolutionizing the shopping experience by leveraging advanced digital screens to enhance customer engagement.

In collaboration with STRATACACHE, a leader in shopper engagement solutions, the network will deploy a fleet of interactive digital screens across select Albertsons stores. This partnership will facilitate product discovery and enable brand partners to directly engage with customers through impactful and timely messaging.

The in-store digital display network is set to pilot this summer in two key regions, strategically positioning large format screens in high-traffic areas such as store entries and produce departments. This setup aims to provide compelling offers and meal inspirations, enhancing the shopping experience while offering brands valuable sales insights and measurement capabilities.

Industry projections by EMARKETER indicate a promising future for in-store retail media, with spending expected to surpass $1 billion by 2028. As in-store advertising becomes increasingly significant, Albertsons Media Collective's initiative reflects the growing potential of physical retail spaces in driving brand connection and consumer conversion.

Mondelēz, the launch brand for this initiative, highlights the importance of delivering hyper-relevant content at the point of purchase.
