  • Current substantial resource of 1.21B lbs Cu and 17.6M oz Ag.

Metallic Minerals Corp. (MMNGF, Financial) has announced favorable results from its La Plata exploration project in Colorado. The recent exploration program, conducted with the assistance of Newmont Corporation geologists, identified four new target areas with significant mineralization potential.

Key highlights from the exploration include high-grade samples, with the top 30 averaging 1.68% copper equivalent (Cu Eq). Notable results came from the Evening Star target with a 6.68% Cu Eq, and the Copper Age North target returning a 5.94% Cu Eq.

The project's existing NI 43-101 Inferred Resource is currently estimated at 1.21 billion pounds of copper and 17.6 million ounces of silver. Metallic Minerals plans to release an updated mineral resource estimate in 2025, which for the first time will include precious metals such as platinum group elements and gold, expanding upon the current copper and silver estimates.

This exploration covered a 25 square kilometer porphyry system, resulting in the advancement of three targets to drill-ready status and identifying over 25 additional target areas for future exploration work.
