- Metals Creek Resources Corp. (MEK) reports high-grade copper findings at Tillex Copper Project.
- Drill hole TX25-033 identifies two main copper zones with significant silver content.
- Strategic location of the project near Kidd Creek Met site enhances processing potential.
Metals Creek Resources Corp. (MEK) has unveiled promising drilling results from the Tillex Copper Project in Ontario. The recent drilling effort, consisting of seven diamond drill holes totaling 909.5 meters, aimed to extend copper mineralization northward.
The standout drill hole, TX25-033, showcased two distinct zones of mineralization. The first zone returned 1.87% copper and 77.25 g/t silver over a 10.70-meter section, while the second zone yielded 1.04% copper and 4.23 g/t silver across 17.40 meters. Notably, the second zone includes a higher-grade segment of 1.57% copper and 6.30 g/t silver over 9.10 meters.
The mineralization was encountered in graphitic argillite, exhibiting 1-4% finely disseminated to stringer chalcopyrite and minor pyrite, coupled with strong folding and clay alteration. This suggests significant exploration potential, especially in areas where the feldspar porphyry intersects with mineralized zones.
Strategically located 65 km east of Timmins and 45 km from the Kidd Creek Met site, the Tillex Copper Project presents potential for future processing opportunities. The findings could pave the way for further exploration and development in the region.
