OSG Corporation, a leader in precision manufacturing, has announced the renewal of its contract with Rimini Street, Inc. (RMNI), extending support for its Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) systems until 2029. The extension marks a strategic move by OSG to optimize its IT infrastructure while significantly reducing operating costs.

The collaboration has already yielded an 8% reduction in OSG's total IT operating expenses, reallocating resources for productivity-enhancing initiatives. Go Harada, head of IT strategy at OSG, stated that leveraging Rimini Street's services has allowed the company to reduce fixed costs associated with Oracle maintenance from 86% to 78% of their IT budget. This financial flexibility supports OSG’s factory automation and digital integration plans.

CEO of Rimini Street, Seth Ravin, emphasized the importance of reallocating IT budgets from maintenance to innovation, a strategy central to the long-standing partnership. Since adopting Oracle EBS in 2010, OSG continues to prioritize on-premises system architecture over costly cloud migrations, aligning with its long-term IT strategies by integrating new digital tools through a hybrid approach.
