SEALSQ Corp (LAES) has announced a strategic $10 million investment in WISeSat.Space AG, securing a 9% equity stake based on a $115 million pre-money valuation. This investment is designed to expedite the deployment of a cutting-edge satellite constellation equipped for quantum key distribution (QKD) communications and decentralized IoT transactions.

WISeSat is on track to launch the WISeSat 3.0 satellite in June 2025. This next-generation satellite will feature post-quantum capabilities and machine-to-machine transactions facilitated by SEALCOIN and Hedera's decentralized ledger technology. To support this initiative, WISeSat is forming strategic partnerships with PLD Space and SkyRoot Aerospace to expand its satellite launch operations.

The global quantum communication market, currently valued at $1 billion in 2024, is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31.8% from 2025 through 2030. SEALSQ's investment also introduces a new Satellite-as-a-Service model, offering recurring revenue streams through connectivity subscriptions and secure data monetization.

This initiative is part of SEALSQ's broader strategy to develop the first quantum-resilient satellite network, providing ultra-secure communications and transactional IoT services worldwide, and reinforcing its commitment to advancing post-quantum security solutions.
