Tesla (TSLA, Financial) shares fell over 3% as reports emerged about a scheduled production halt at the company's Austin, Texas factory. From June 30, production for the Cybertruck and Model Y will be paused for one week to conduct line maintenance, marking the third such pause within a year.
Despite this, Tesla is gearing up to launch its Robotaxi service in Austin on June 22. The initial fleet will comprise Model Y vehicles equipped with the latest Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology. CEO Elon Musk recently shared a video showcasing a Model Y robotaxi navigating the streets of Austin on social media.
