Launched in 2023, the 18-month Airframe and Powerplant Technician program is designed to equip students with essential skills in aircraft maintenance and repair, preparing them for FAA mechanic certification.
Highlighting the program's success, graduates such as Densen Pantal and Jimmy Gutierrez are currently preparing for their FAA exams. Reflecting on his experience, Pantal shared how his passion for aviation began with a childhood flight from the Philippines to the U.S., while Gutierrez was inspired by witnessing the space shuttle Endeavor's journey through Los Angeles.
Anthony Pham, UTI-Long Beach Campus President, commended the graduates, stating, "We're proud of our first graduating class. Their hard work has prepared them for promising careers in aviation." The program's expansion to UTI-Miramar (Fla.), UTI-Canton (Mich.), and UTI-Houston further illustrates UTI's commitment to meeting the growing demand for skilled aviation maintenance workers.
