Japan's Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTTDF, Financial) has successfully secured enough bids to acquire NTT Data Group for $16.3 billion. This strategic acquisition is aimed at enhancing NTT's artificial intelligence capabilities and streamlining its corporate structure. By doing so, NTT aims to strengthen its position in the global AI market, competing with leading AI companies such as Microsoft-backed OpenAI.
