(CMTL), a leader in global communications technology, announced that its Terrestrial & Wireless Networks business segment has rejoined the Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies Inc. (iCERT). This strategic re-engagement reflects Comtech's renewed commitment to public safety innovation and advocacy.

Founded in 2005, iCERT is a commercial sector trade association uniting technology leaders to advance policy-making and promote open standards in emergency response. Comtech's return to this community is part of broader strategic initiatives, including the introduction of Allerium Mira, a cloud-based call handling solution designed to meet the evolving needs of 9-1-1 services.

Comtech's Senior Director of Legal & Regulatory Affairs, Susan Ornstein, recently joined iCERT's board of directors, highlighting the company's active role in shaping public safety communication strategies. Jeff Robertson, President of Comtech T&W, emphasized his long-standing support for iCERT's mission and the significance of this re-engagement for fostering public-private sector collaboration.

iCERT's Interim Executive Director, Don Brittingham, welcomed Comtech back, acknowledging its vital role in strengthening the organization's expertise in public safety call flow management.
