Motorola Solutions (MSI) has announced the launch of VESTA Hybrid, a new hybrid cloud call handling offer designed to modernize 911 response systems across the United States. VESTA Hybrid combines Assist AI, advanced Radius Mapping, and robust cyber resilience with the existing VESTA 911 call handling software to provide Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) with innovative tools for emergency call management.
The new software as a service (SaaS) solution not only leverages the complete feature set of RapidDeploy Radius Mapping but also integrates Assist AI for real-time call transcription, translation, evolving call summaries, and handling non-emergency call resolutions. This empowers call handlers to respond more quickly and effectively, utilizing precise caller location data and multimedia sharing capabilities such as livestream videos and photos during emergencies.
Given the increasing cyber threats, as documented by the Public Safety Threat Alliance since early 2024, VESTA Hybrid includes essential cyber threat monitoring, detection, and response services. It also offers cloud failover options to maintain service continuity in the event of natural disasters or cyberattacks that might compromise on-prem infrastructure.
Motorola Solutions will showcase VESTA Hybrid at the National Emergency Number Association's (NENA) annual show, highlighting its significant advancements in next-generation 911 technologies that reduce misrouted calls and improve emergency response times.
