Apple (AAPL, Financial) plans to relax its rules, allowing users to access external websites outside of its App Store. This move is part of negotiations with the European Commission. Previously, the European Commission fined Apple €500 million for not complying with the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which mandates that companies inform users about alternatives outside the App Store and allow them to explore those options.

Apple is seeking a compromise with EU regulators to avoid further fines after the Commission's 60-day compliance deadline. The company intends to propose concessions to gain more time as the EU evaluates the suggested changes before making a decision.
