NexMetals Mining Corp. (OTC Pink: PRMLF) has significantly intensified its drilling efforts at the Selkirk Mine in Botswana by deploying a second drill rig aimed at expediting the surface drilling program. The additional rig is expected to enhance the efficiency of the ongoing work, which is centered around resource expansion and the development of a modern metallurgical flowsheet.

To date, NexMetals has drilled approximately 2,050 metres across six holes in its 12-hole drilling initiative. The seventh and eighth holes are currently in progress, targeting zones of known mineralization and areas prioritized for potential resource enhancement.

In addition, the company has made significant strides in its resampling initiative, having processed and resampled 29 out of 34 historical holes, totaling 8,707 metres. This effort aims to support the creation of an updated geological model and to compensate for gaps in historical data where previous operators did not consistently assay for cobalt, palladium, or platinum.

Assay results from the current drilling program are anticipated by mid-July 2025. This data will be crucial for supporting NexMetals' resource model and possibly updating the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), which could provide further insights into the untapped potential of the historical resource at Selkirk Mine previously estimated at over 125 million tonnes.

NexMetals, with its focus on copper, nickel, cobalt, and platinum group elements, continues to leverage modern technology and metallurgical techniques in its exploration and development efforts, seeking to unlock additional value from this past-producing site. The company is committed to advancing its understanding of the deposit, which can contribute to its long-term growth strategy in the mineral exploration sector. Assay results, once available, are expected to further inform the potential for future redevelopment and resource expansion of the Selkirk Mine asset.
