Epson (OTC: SEKEY), a leader in scanning solutions, has unveiled two new flatbed document scanners, the DS-1730 and DS-1760WN, designed for high productivity across healthcare, finance, government, and enterprise industries. With a focus on versatile media handling, these scanners can accommodate diverse document types including plastic cards, passports, and books.

The DS-1760WN, priced at $699, offers wireless and wired Ethernet connectivity along with PC-free scanning capabilities, making it suitable for modern workplaces. It features ScanWayâ„¢ technology allowing users to scan directly to USB flash drives, network folders, and online storage services without the need for a PC. Equipped with a 2.4" LCD touchscreen, this model simplifies access to settings and predefined tasks.

The more economically priced DS-1730 at $449, along with the DS-1760WN, features a 60-page Auto Document Feeder, achieving scan speeds up to 30 pages per minute (ppm) or 60 images per minute (ipm) through duplex scanning. These scanners boast a peak daily duty cycle of 3,000 pages, supporting document lengths up to 120 inches for the DS-1730 and 220 inches for the DS-1760WN.

Both models promise seamless integration into existing document management systems with full software compatibility, supported by TWAIN and ISIS drivers. These features underscore Epson's commitment to providing flexible and reliable scanning solutions to meet the diverse needs of various industries.
