HPE Expands AI Infrastructure Partnership with NVIDIA (NVDA)

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) recently announced significant product launches at its annual HPE Discover event, emphasizing its deepening partnership with NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) in AI infrastructure. HPE has upgraded its private cloud services, introducing the next-gen ProLiant Compute Gen12 server equipped with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, known for their high performance in workstations. Additionally, the new HPE Compute XD690 server features eight of NVIDIA's powerful Blackwell Ultra GPUs, enhancing AI capabilities.

HPE also unveiled the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, a high-performance AI storage system, and the HPE OpsRamp Software platform, designed to work with NVIDIA's Enterprise AI Factory services. The company aims to accelerate AI value creation through collaborations with 26 new Unleash AI partners.

CEO Antonio Neri highlighted the transformative potential of AI, emphasizing the importance of robust infrastructure and data systems. HPE and NVIDIA have been working together to provide comprehensive AI solutions, integrating NVIDIA DGX and InfiniBand with HPE GreenLake.

The competitive AI server market sees HPE, Supermicro (SMCI), and Dell Technologies (DELL) all leveraging NVIDIA GPUs. HPE differentiates itself by focusing on a hybrid cloud subscription model and its Cray supercomputing technology. HPE's HPC & AI business saw a 25% revenue increase in fiscal 2023, with expectations of reaching $6 billion by fiscal 2026.
