Oracle (ORCL, Financial) has announced a strategic partnership with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) to provide its cloud-based Public Safety Suite to state and local entities across Texas. This offering modernizes public safety solutions for the state's 254 counties, collectively serving more than 31 million citizens.

The suite, built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, features AI-enhanced capabilities, such as generative AI for automated narrative generation in the Record Management System (RMS). These improvements streamline the documentation process, allowing law enforcement to focus on critical tasks while ensuring comprehensive reporting.

The DIR contract offers a simplified and pre-negotiated procurement process for law enforcement, emergency agencies, public safety departments, educational institutions, and special districts in Texas. This streamlined approach eliminates traditional procurement hurdles, facilitating quicker adoption of modern technology solutions across the state.

Oracle's unified platform integrates call taking, dispatch, records management, jail operations, and evidence management into a single system. This integration addresses common pain points by breaking down departmental silos, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving response coordination.

Moreover, Oracle's Public Safety Suite adheres to the CJIS Security Policy, ensuring robust security measures to protect sensitive law enforcement data. This compliance, combined with the suite's scalability and performance, supports rapid deployment and minimizes implementation complexities.
