NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) CEO Jensen Huang highlighted during a shareholder meeting that, beyond artificial intelligence, the robotics sector is set to become one of the company’s largest future growth markets. Autonomous vehicles are anticipated to be the first major commercial application in this field.
Huang emphasized that NVIDIA has numerous growth opportunities, with AI and robotics being the two most promising areas. He projected the market size could reach trillions of dollars. While the robotics business is still in its initial stages, related applications will rely on NVIDIA's data center AI chips for training and will be integrated into autonomous vehicles and robots.
He also mentioned NVIDIA's self-driving car platform, Thrive, which Mercedes has adopted. Additionally, the company recently launched an AI model named Cosmos, specifically designed for humanoid robots.
