Lottery.com (LTRY, Financial) is gearing up for a significant leap in its global operations with the upcoming release of the Sports.com Super App. Set to roll out in select international markets by the third quarter of 2025, this innovative app is designed to offer a comprehensive sports engagement platform, blending live streaming, social interactions, e-commerce, and gamification. Initially, the focus will be on soccer and motorsport, areas that have seen considerable growth through strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
The Super App will be built on an existing platform by Galaxy Racer Holdings, known for its GXR app, which boasts over a million active users monthly. This new app will merge six key features: live streaming, community chats, a stats-based social network, e-commerce, fantasy and real-money sports gaming, and sports news. By tapping into the 4-5 hours sports fans spend weekly beyond watching games, it aims to capture more engagement and revenue through subscriptions, ads, merchandising, and interactive challenges.
To fast-track the Super App's development, Lottery.com plans to acquire a 51% controlling stake in GXR's sports and technology assets, valued at $10 million. This move includes a $15 million funding commitment for the app's expansion and an option to acquire full ownership by 2027. The deal is expected to close by August 1, pending completion of due diligence and final terms.
