Zentek (ZTEK, Financial) recently disclosed receiving correspondence from Health Canada regarding the classification of its ZenGUARD Enhanced Air Filters. Health Canada has invited the company to provide further details to determine the most suitable regulatory classification for these filters. Previously, the ZenGUARD filters were under evaluation by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) for registration under the Pest Control Products Act.
However, on October 31, 2024, Zentek chose to retract its application from the PMRA. The company decided to pursue a different pathway for commercialization in Canada, aiming to align with a more fitting regulatory category for their product.
