The report reveals that in 2024, Trex sourced over 1 billion pounds of reclaimed polyethylene (PE) film and wood scrap, positioning itself as one of North America's largest recyclers of PE. Key accomplishments in sustainability include recycling nearly 100% of production scrap and 31% of general waste, intended for landfill diversion.
Trex's innovative products remain at the forefront, with the company's decking and railing offerings designed for durability and aesthetic appeal. Trex Enhance deck boards boast a 25-year warranty, approximately double the lifespan of conventional wood decking, thereby reducing environmental impacts by minimizing replacements.
In the realm of human capital, Trex expanded its learning and development initiatives, delivering over 62,000 hours of training in 2024 to enhance employee engagement and development.
