BASX, a subsidiary of AAON (NASDAQ: AAON), has announced a strategic partnership with Applied Digital (NASDAQ: APLD) to deliver a state-of-the-art cooling solution specifically tailored for Applied Digital's AI data center campus in Ellendale, North Dakota. The collaboration features a cutting-edge free cooling chiller system, designed for the Polaris Forge 1 facility. This system operates in three different modes—full free cooling, partial free cooling, and full mechanical cooling—all with zero water consumption.

The system is purpose-built to address the high power density requirements of AI infrastructure, which necessitates 15 to 30 times more power density than traditional data centers. Leveraging the cold climate conditions of North Dakota, the cooling solution is optimized for liquid-cooled NVIDIA GPUs, offering a scalable and sustainable approach to thermal management that prioritizes efficiency.

This innovation places AAON at the forefront of the expanding AI infrastructure market, providing specialized solutions that cater to the unique cooling needs of next-generation data centers. As AI adoption continues to surge, the demand for high-efficiency cooling solutions grows, and AAON is positioned as a key player in this evolving landscape.
