Tutor Perini Corporation (TPC), a recognized leader in civil, building, and specialty construction, has been awarded a significant $1.871 billion contract from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The contract involves constructing the Staging and Storage Facility and Ramp Structure as part of the Midtown Bus Terminal Redevelopment Program in New York City.

The project will involve the construction of a modern, seven-floor, steel-clad storage and staging facility located between 9th and 10th Avenues, and between West 39th and West 40th Streets. This facility will provide indoor storage space for up to 350 buses and serve as a temporary bus terminal during the construction of a new main terminal.

Additionally, an innovative ramp structure will be built to facilitate the movement of buses in and out of the above-grade bus levels of the replacement facility. This ramp will connect to the Lincoln Tunnel and encompass the block bounded by 10th and 11th Avenues and 39th and 40th Streets.

The company is slated to begin work in the fall of 2025, with completion targeted for the fall of 2028.
