FTI Consulting, Inc. (FCN) has announced the appointment of Joseph Shipley as Senior Managing Director within its Strategic Communications segment. Based in London, Shipley will spearhead the firm's private equity client operations and their portfolio companies across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

Shipley joins FTI Consulting with a wealth of experience advising boards and private capital investors. His previous roles include Partner at Kekst CNC, positions at Brunswick, and work with Permira's in-house communications team. His expertise covers multichannel stakeholder strategies and handling transactions subject to political and regulatory scrutiny, making him a valuable addition to the team.

This appointment reflects FTI Consulting's strategic move to enhance its private equity capabilities, particularly in transaction services, business transformation, debt restructuring, and reputation management. Neil Doyle, Head of Financial Services in the Strategic Communications segment, emphasized Shipley's strong reputation in the UK and EMEA private equity markets, noting his ability to support clients in navigating complex, high-stakes challenges.

Shipley expressed enthusiasm for his new role, highlighting FTI Consulting's unique combination of knowledge, networks, and capability to capitalize on global investment opportunities. "Private equity investors are the leaders of today's global economy, and they require senior advisors who can adeptly navigate and reshape investment landscapes," he remarked.

The addition of Shipley comes on the heels of other notable appointments in London, including Edward Knight as Managing Director in the M&A practice and former Member of Parliament Seema Kennedy OBE as Senior Advisor, further strengthening FTI Consulting's strategic communications team.

FTI Consulting, with over 8,100 employees across 33 countries as of March 31, 2025, reported revenues of $3.70 billion for fiscal year 2024. The firm is known for its expertise in helping organizations facing crisis and transformation, offering a range of advisory services through distinct legal entities globally.
