Arista Networks (ANET), a frontrunner in cloud and AI networking solutions, has unveiled a range of new AI-driven enterprise products that expand its capabilities in switching, Wi-Fi 7 access points, and WAN services. This announcement coincides with Arista's acquisition of the VeloCloud SD-WAN portfolio from Broadcom, a strategic move to enhance its branch networking solutions with cognitive edge functionalities.
VeloCloud’s range of edge hardware platforms, known for their integrated secure firewalling and application-optimized SD-WAN, will complement Arista's existing suite, including its CloudEOS routing stack and 7000-series WAN routers. Alan Davidson, CIO of Broadcom Inc., noted that the addition of VeloCloud strengthens Arista's enterprise WAN networking capabilities.
The new product lineup from Arista includes the AWE-7220R WAN router, now available, and new compact, fanless PoE switches and Wi-Fi 7 access points designed for remote and branch offices. These solutions aim to facilitate seamless integration of IoT applications like Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL), as echoed by Pan Pacific Retail Management's IT Director, Dean Penebacker.
Further enhancing its offering, Arista has introduced the CloudVision AGNI, supporting on-premises deployments, which provides AI-driven network access control to meet stringent regulatory and data compliance requirements. This has been lauded by Najeeb Qasimi, IT Director at Oak Grove School District, for enabling secure and efficient network management without complexity.
The O-435 and C-400 access points are scheduled to ship in Q2 2025, with the 710XP switches expected in early Q3 2025. These new offerings position Arista Networks as a key visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN Infrastructure, underscoring its commitment to innovation in networking solutions.
