Article's Main Image

Apple's foldable iPhone has reached the P1 (Prototype 1) development stage as of June, according to reports. This is the first phase in a series of prototype stages, with each lasting approximately two months. The entire prototype development process is expected to wrap up by the end of 2025, with a potential market release in the latter half of 2026.

In contrast, the development of a foldable iPad has been put on hold. The decision comes amid challenges such as the complexity of component production, including display panels, and high costs, which result in low market acceptance.
