Snow Lake Resources (NASDAQ: LITM) has officially announced the initiation of an extensive exploration program through a 50/50 joint venture with Global Uranium and Enrichment Limited. The project, located in Wyoming's Powder River Basin, will commence a 38,000-meter (125,000-foot) drill campaign starting on July 21, 2025, conducted by Single Water Services LLC.
The Pine Ridge Uranium Project is positioned near Cameco's Smith Ranch Mill, which has a licensed capacity of 5.5 million pounds of U3O8 per annum. The joint venture has significantly increased its landholding by adding 937 new claims, bringing the total to approximately 15,130 hectares (37,387 acres).
This exploration effort builds upon substantial historical drilling data, which includes 1,214 previous drill holes conducted by Conoco and prior owners. This historical data has identified 335 km of redox boundaries within stacked horizons in Tertiary sandstones, providing a robust foundation for efficient exploration.
The Pine Ridge Project is strategically located in one of the premier uranium regions in North America and benefits from proximity to existing infrastructure. The drill program aims to test high-priority target areas for In-Situ Recovery (ISR) amenable resources, strategically positioning Snow Lake Resources to benefit from growing demand in the nuclear energy sector.
