Foxconn has reportedly transferred over 300 Chinese engineers and technicians from its Indian facility, potentially impacting Apple's (AAPL, Financial) expansion plans in India. The relocation began approximately two months ago, with most Chinese employees being moved from Foxconn's facility in southern India. Currently, the majority of the remaining workforce is comprised of support staff from Taiwan.
While the withdrawal of these employees is not expected to affect production quality, it might influence the efficiency of the assembly lines. This change comes amid Apple's ongoing efforts to increase its manufacturing presence in India.
