Cloud AI infrastructure company CoreWeave announced its acquisition of the first market batch of servers equipped with Nvidia's latest generation high-end AI chips. These servers, the Dell-built GB300 NVL72 racks, will be initially deployed in the U.S. with a rollout planned within the year. This new system is set to enable customers to develop and deploy larger and more complex AI models at unprecedented speeds.

The chips were introduced by Nvidia in March and are slated for delivery this season, serving as an upgrade to the premium Grace Blackwell systems. Despite uncertainties in the global economy and chip trade policies, demand for AI infrastructure remains strong. CoreWeave, which counts OpenAI among its clients and investors, has strengthened its strategic positioning in AI cloud computing services by acquiring these Nvidia servers. Peter Salanki, CoreWeave's CTO, emphasized the company's commitment to advancing AI development by deploying state-of-the-art cloud capabilities.

Following the announcement, CoreWeave's stock (CRWV, Financial) rose over 3% in early trading and closed up 5.24% at $159.79. Dell's stock increased by 1.92% to $125.85, and Nvidia (NVDA) shares climbed 1.7% to $159.90.
