NVIDIA Surpasses Market Expectations with Record Highs, Tesla Faces Delivery Challenges

NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) reached a record high, closing up 1.33% with a trading volume of $22.734 billion. The company's market cap briefly surpassed $3.9 trillion, with analysts optimistic about it exceeding $4 trillion, potentially becoming the highest in history. OpenAI's decision to continue using NVIDIA GPUs and AMD accelerators over Google's TPU chips further solidifies NVIDIA's position as a core supplier.

Tesla (TSLA) saw a slight decline of 0.10% with a trading volume of $17.946 billion. The company reported its Q2 vehicle production and delivery figures, showing a 13.5% drop in deliveries year-over-year, despite increased production. Model 3 and Model Y deliveries also decreased by 12% compared to the previous year.

Apple (AAPL) rose by 0.52% with a trading volume of $7.422 billion, reporting an 8% increase in Q2 iPhone sales in China. The growth is attributed to promotional pricing strategies for the iPhone 16 series, especially the Pro and Pro Max models.

Microsoft (MSFT) increased by 1.58% with $6.923 billion in trades, as the company announced plans to lay off around 9,000 employees, marking the largest round of layoffs since 2023.

Meta Platforms (META) gained 0.76% with $6.148 billion traded. The company is testing AI features that enhance user engagement by interacting based on previous conversations.

Datadog (DDOG) surged 14.92% with $4.55 billion traded, as it is set to replace Juniper Networks in the S&P 500 index.

Oracle (ORCL) rose by 3.19% with $4.018 billion traded. OpenAI has agreed to lease substantial computing power from Oracle's data centers as part of the "Stargate" project.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies saw a massive 130.77% increase, with $3.806 billion traded, after completing a $250 million private placement to expand its Ethereum holdings.

NVIDIA remains a key player in the tech sector, consistently achieving significant milestones and maintaining its market dominance.
