Blue Moon Metals Inc. (BMOOF, Financial) has announced its collaboration with Worley Limited as the engineering contractor for its Nussir Copper-gold-silver Project in Norway. This partnership aims to transition the existing May 2023 JORC-compliant Feasibility Study into a NI 43-101-compliant version, with basic engineering work also advancing the project's development.
The timeline set forth includes the ordering of long-lead equipment items in Q4-2025. Detailed engineering will proceed in 2026, following the initiation of the exploration decline scheduled for June 2025. Worley will conduct the engineering work through its offices in the UK and Canada, leveraging its extensive experience in base metal projects and specific expertise in Norway.
The updated Feasibility Study, expected by Q1-2026, aims to incorporate ongoing mine decline construction results, revised expenditure estimates, and enhancements in mine design, including the use of optical sorting technology. Blue Moon Metals is committed to optimizing several aspects of mine planning and infrastructure to further improve project outcomes.
Christian Kargl-Simard, CEO of Blue Moon Metals, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We are very excited to partner with Worley to unlock the potential of the Nussir project and advance towards long lead equipment purchase and construction."
