JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (JKS), a leading solar module manufacturer, announced the successful commissioning of 21.6 MWh of energy storage systems for Distributed Energy Infrastructure (DEI) in Massachusetts. This project is part of the Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) program and includes three newly commissioned systems that employ both DC and AC coupled configurations to maximize operational flexibility and boost performance.

The technical execution of the project was facilitated by JinkoSolar's U.S.-based energy storage engineering team, which provided system design expertise and ensured seamless integration with various Power Conditioning System (PCS) and Energy Management System (EMS) platforms. DEI managed the turnkey project execution, encompassing development support, system design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

This strategic deployment not only enhances grid services but also strengthens the performance and resiliency of solar energy assets in Massachusetts, aligning with the state's climate goals and energy modernization efforts. By supporting Massachusetts' SMART program, JinkoSolar also benefits from policy support mechanisms that enhance project economics while providing essential grid services.
