- Elastic Cloud Hosted achieves FedRAMP High "In Process" status on AWS GovCloud (US).
- This milestone solidifies Elastic’s commitment to secure and compliant solutions for the U.S. Federal Government.
- Elastic (ESTC, Financial) works towards final FedRAMP High authorization to support sensitive government workloads.
Elastic (ESTC), known as the Search AI Company, has announced that its Elastic Cloud Hosted service has reached the FedRAMP High "In Process" status on AWS GovCloud (US). This achievement underscores Elastic’s dedication to delivering secure and compliant solutions, particularly for the U.S. Federal Government's sensitive and mission-critical workloads.
FedRAMP High represents one of the most rigorous security benchmarks, entailing over 400 strict security controls. These are designed to protect cloud environments managing sensitive unclassified data, including information pertinent to national security, critical infrastructure, and financial risk. Elastic Cloud Hosted is already FedRAMP Moderate authorized on AWS GovCloud (US), supporting various public sector agencies.
Chris Townsend, Elastic's Global Vice President of Public Sector, emphasized that achieving the "In Process" status marks a pivotal step in expanding their support for federal agencies dealing with high-security workloads. Elastic is working closely with its sponsoring agency and third-party assessors to complete the FedRAMP High authorization process. Once finalized, Elastic Cloud Hosted will support the government's most security-sensitive workloads in accordance with FedRAMP High standards.
The development aligns with Elastic's mission to facilitate secure, transparent, and efficient solutions for government agencies, enhancing strategies such as Zero Trust and developing generative AI applications.
