JD.com (JD, Financial) has announced a strategic partnership through its infrastructure investment platform, JD Property, with Abu Dhabi Airports Company. This collaboration will focus on developing and operating a 70,000 square meter smart logistics hub in the Abu Dhabi International Airport Free Zone, marking a significant milestone in JD.com's international strategy.

This logistics park is JD Property's first greenfield development in the Middle East, featuring JD’s automated and digital warehousing management systems. It aims to provide cross-border e-commerce logistics, air cargo, and distribution services to countries within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

According to JD Property’s CEO, the project will create thousands of jobs and is expected to reduce logistics costs and operational risks for Middle Eastern companies, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. Currently, JD Property manages over 50 projects across nine countries globally, with this partnership expected to accelerate its expansion in the Middle East market.
