- Canadian Gold Resources (TSXV: CAN) reports high-grade gold and silver mineralization at Lac Arsenault.
- Top samples yield up to 28.9 g/t gold and 452 g/t silver, with significant lead content.
- New mineralization discovered in previously overlooked Type-4 veins, expanding property potential.
Canadian Gold Resources (TSXV: CAN) has announced promising results from its recent surface sampling program at the Lac Arsenault property, located in the underexplored Gaspé Peninsula of Québec. The June 2025 exploration program revealed high-grade gold and silver mineralization, particularly from the Baker and Mersereau veins. Four noteworthy samples delivered exceptional results, with one sample, BVA2025-004, yielding 28.9 g/t gold and 306 g/t silver, while another returned 5.32 g/t gold and 452 g/t silver.
The sampling not only confirmed historical data but also discovered new zones of significant mineralization in the Type-4 veins previously considered to be low in metal content. This included the discovery of significant lead concentrations, with one sample revealing a lead content of 25.7%.
Looking forward, Canadian Gold Resources aims to further explore the property’s potential by advancing towards a bulk sampling program, with permits currently being processed. The technical aspects of the exploration program are overseen by Mark Smethurst, P.Geo., who is the designated Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. This next phase signifies a crucial step in developing the Lac Arsenault property's prospects, with additional surface work and modeling planned to enhance the understanding of the vein system's mineralization.
