Sealing Technologies (SealingTech), a subsidiary of Parsons Corporation (PSN), has entered a strategic collaboration with NCS Technologies to significantly enhance the production of Cyber Hunt Kits for the Department of Defense (DoD). This partnership will increase production capacity by five times, leveraging NCS's expansive 108,000 sq ft manufacturing facility located in Manassas, Virginia. This facility will complement SealingTech's own 35,000 sq ft integration facility situated in Stevensville, Maryland, ensuring a seamless production process.
The collaboration capitalizes on NCS's nearly three decades of experience in large-scale U.S. Government manufacturing, which is poised to improve both the efficiency and scalability of production. By focusing on the standardized production of base nodes, the partnership is set to reduce assembly time while ensuring quality through ISO-certified supply chain and quality management programs.
According to Brad Hatcher, Chief Product Officer at SealingTech, this partnership not only enhances their industry-leading capabilities in cyber defense solutions but also enables rapid production expansion to meet urgent DoD requirements. The production teams from both companies are strategically located in the Washington D.C. metro area to facilitate real-time decision-making and production execution.
The collaboration is aimed at addressing the production bottlenecks common in defense technology manufacturing, allowing SealingTech to maintain its specialized cybersecurity expertise while scaling up production to meet growing demand. This increased capacity and reduced assembly time position SealingTech to capture more substantial DoD cybersecurity contracts, which require proven delivery capabilities at scale.
Steve Stuck, Vice President of Appliance & Server Engineering at NCS, emphasized the importance of NCS's established manufacturing processes and skilled workforce in optimizing the production flows to meet the stringent demands of DoD deployments.
The partnership between SealingTech and NCS Technologies underscores a commitment to delivering high-quality, mission-ready products that meet the evolving needs of national security missions while reinforcing Parsons Corporation's position as a leader in the defense cybersecurity space.
