- SimScale and Hexagon announce the integration of Marc nonlinear FEA capabilities on SimScale's cloud platform.
- The integration allows engineers to perform advanced simulations efficiently without on-premises software.
- SimScale's platform now supports highly complex FEA simulations, accessible to over 700,000 users.
SimScale, the pioneering AI-native cloud platform for engineering simulation, along with Hexagon’s Design and Engineering, has officially launched the Marc nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) solver technology on SimScale's platform. This integration, resulting from a strategic partnership, allows engineers and design teams to utilize Marc's advanced nonlinear capabilities directly from their web browsers.
Engineers can now conduct highly complex simulations, such as large deformations, arbitrary contact, and hyper-elasticity, earlier in the design process without the constraints of traditional on-premises software or infrastructure. These capabilities are facilitated by SimScale's cloud-native integration that enhances speed, accessibility, and scalability in product development processes.
"Integrating Hexagon’s Marc technology with SimScale’s environment is a transformative step for advanced simulation, providing engineers access to best-in-class nonlinear FEA on-demand," noted Richard Szöke-Schuller, Product Manager at SimScale. Meanwhile, Hugues Jeancolas, VP of Products at Hexagon, emphasized the transformational aspect of this integration, aimed at democratizing simulation tools and enhancing their accessibility to all engineers, particularly those new to simulation.
The Marc technology integration is now available for all 700,000 SimScale Community users, with provisions for limited free, non-commercial testing. This development marks a significant leap towards democratizing complex engineering simulations, ensuring engineers can tackle product performance and reliability challenges with increased efficiency and confidence.
