ING is set to significantly expand its ATM network in Spain, unveiling more than 740 new NCR Atleos terminals. This development is tailored to serve the bank's over 4.4 million customers, specifically catering to Cuenta Nómina account holders who can now enjoy fee-free cash withdrawals across key locations in the country.

The strategic rollout, expected to span 12 months starting in July, is part of a collaborative effort with NCR Atleos (NATL, Financial), a leader in financial self-service solutions. The collaboration utilizes an ATM as a Service (ATMaaS) model, allowing ING to efficiently manage its ATM operations while focusing on enhancing customer experience. NCR Atleos will oversee the installation, maintenance, and security of the ATM network, facilitating daily operations.

The rollout highlights ING's commitment to improving customer convenience and access to cash, thereby strengthening its national presence. "At ING, we strive to offer customers a simple, agile experience tailored to their needs," stated Alberto Gómez, Director of Payments and Accounts at ING Spain and Portugal. This statement underscores ING's dedication to customer-centric banking innovations.

NCR Atleos, based in Atlanta, is renowned for its expertise in expanding self-service financial access and operates the largest independently-owned ATM network globally. This initiative marks another milestone in NCR Atleos' commitment to digital-first financial experiences, aligning with ING's goals to enhance brand presence and customer connectivity across Spain without the complexities of managing its own ATM network.
