Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE), a leader in financial technology and data services, has announced the expansion of its NYSE index family. This will include the launch of a new U.S. technology index and additional indices focusing on NYSE-listed companies. The new indices aim to showcase the performance of the NYSE community and provide investors with more tailored exposure options.
Among the new offerings, the NYSE Elite Tech 100 Index will be introduced later this month. This tech-focused index is designed to serve as a precision benchmark for technology leaders, including companies listed on all U.S. exchanges. The index will dynamically update its composition to include newly listed IPOs and focus on highly liquid and investable constituents.
ICE will also expand its range of indices exclusively containing NYSE-listed companies. This includes equal weight versions of existing indices like the NYSE Composite, U.S. 100, and International 100, offering greater exposure to small and mid-cap companies. There will also be sector-specific indices based on ICE Uniform Sector classifications, building on the success of indices such as the NYSE Energy and Financials indices.
Highlighting regional growth, ICE plans to introduce Texas-specific indices. These will include an index for NYSE Texas-listed companies and another for businesses headquartered or incorporated in Texas.
Lynn Martin, President of NYSE Group, emphasized that the introduction of these indices highlights the innovative spirit of NYSE-listed companies, providing investors with transparent investment tools.
With over $2 trillion in assets under management benchmarked to its indices, ICE continues to solidify its role as a key player in global financial markets, offering over 7,000 indices across various asset classes.
