NVIDIA (NVDA) Rises Amid Mixed Tech Stock Performance

The U.S. stock market faced uncertainties as focus shifted to new developments on tariffs proposed by former President Trump. The S&P 500 initially rose by 3 points to 6,266 before decreasing by 3 points. The Nasdaq also saw an initial increase of 25 points, reaching an intraday record of 20,653, but later fell by approximately 30 points. The Dow Jones opened 30 points lower but later rose by about 20 points.

Tech stocks showed mixed performances. NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) continued its upward trend, gaining nearly 1%. Tesla (TSLA) rebounded, surging over 3%. However, Meta (META) and Amazon (AMZN) dipped by nearly 1%, while Apple (AAPL) saw a slight decline of 0.3%.

Among other notable movements, Delta Air Lines (DAL) exceeded earnings expectations for the second quarter and maintained its full-year forecast, boosting its stock by 11%. Ferrero announced a $3.1 billion acquisition of WK Kellogg (KLG), causing Kellogg's stock to soar by 30%. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Defense's $400 million investment made MP Materials (MP) its largest shareholder, prompting MP's stock to surge over 50%.
