Billionaire Elon Musk has announced that Tesla (TSLA, Financial) will consult its shareholders regarding a potential investment in xAI. Recent reports indicate that SpaceX is considering a $2 billion investment in the artificial intelligence company. Musk clarified on social media platform X that the decision to invest in xAI is not solely his to make.

Last year, Musk engaged with users on platform X to gauge opinions on whether Tesla should invest $5 billion in xAI, describing it as a "trial balloon." He emphasized that any such decision would require approval from Tesla's board of directors and shareholders.
