LG Electronics announced its plan to globally release the popular StanbyME 2 portable TV. The rollout will begin in Hong Kong and Turkey, followed by launches in the United States, Canada, Vietnam, and Singapore later this month. The product is set to enter the European market next month.
StanbyME 2, which features a detachable 27-inch touchscreen and an in-built battery offering up to four hours of playback, was first unveiled at CES 2025 in January. Since its launch in South Korea in February, sales have nearly tripled compared to the previous generation introduced four years ago.
Lee Chung-hwan, Vice President of LG Electronics, stated that the company aims to solidify its leading position in the global portable TV market through the launch of StanbyME 2.
